The digital ticket sales through the Paotang application proved to be an instant success, GLO director Lt. Col Noon Sansanakhom said. In addition to the convenience factor, it’s a cost-effective option for those who are reluctant to spend a lot of money on a single lottery entry.
Previously, the maximum price of a single digital lottery ticket was B20 to B40, with a minimum purchase of four or five tickets. There was also a bonus prize for correctly matching six digits, which could have brought a lucky winner around B20-30 million. These prizes have now been scrapped by the military government.
