In addition to the digital lottery, GLO also sells traditional paper lottery tickets at retail venues and at street vendors. The lottery is held on the first and 16th of each month. The first prize for TGL tickets is three million baht while TCL tickets have a bonus prize of two million baht. In both cases, the winner must pay a 0.5 percent tax on their winnings. This is much lower than the 1 percent tax on TGL tickets in other countries. The tax is expected to boost government revenues by up to B12 billion per year.
